Spring is sooo nearly here (well it felt like it was yesterday) and we're super excited about our spring wardrobes! An easy way to start adding some colour to your wardrobe is by adding some fabulous coloured jeans. Liz is pictured wearing the Hudson Nico in Cherry, a perfect jean for the weekend. The Nico is a super skinny fit and hugs the body perfectly. Liz has teamed them with a relaxed fit Maison Scotch military shirt and her trusty biker boots. The embellished shoulder adds luxe to this simple outfit. To add a touch of sparkle Liz has layered some Ingenious jewels around her neck and wrist...she's good to go with her weekend outfit :)

Elle Style Awards - Our Top 3

So the Elle Style Awards took place last night and to no suprise the red carpet was inundated with the most stylish and beautiful people in town! There were three style icons that stood out for us for various reasons...

Reason 1 - We fancy one... quite a lot! (See our previous blog 'Man of the Moment')
Reason 2 - We'd quite like to be two of them (See our previous blogs HERE and HERE)
Reason 3 - Their sense of style is second to none!

Poppy Delevigne looks absolutely amazing in Mary Katrantzou for Topshop, the dress is fabulous and shows off her super long pins. Poppy finishes off the look with a simple ponytail and a glowing tan... Perfection!

David Gandy looking suave, we wouldn't expect anything less from the D&G model! No doubt this was a good opportunity to take his mind off Mollie ;)

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was named Style Icon at this year's awards and quite rightly so. She's been a style crush of ours for a while and we admire her off duty style equally as much as her glamourous red carpet ensembles. She wowed in a sheer caped back dress by Antonio Berardi paired with Sergio Rossi heels... totally show-stopping!

The new season is finally here! So it's time to start thinking at what we'll be wearing this season and which must-haves are on our fashion radar.

Pretty pastels is definitely the colour palette to go to this season. Think soft, delicate ice cream inspired hues, as seen on the catwalks at Louis Vuitton, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Chanel.

Coloured denim has featured heavily the last few seasons and for SS'12 it takes a softer approach with a lighter look. This season MiH jeans have introduced 'The Paris' in a super-sweet candy pink that is good enough to eat! 'The Paris' is one of our favourite summer styles from MiH so undoubtedly we'll all be bagging a pair when they arrive in store this season.

Our Christmas Wishlist!

So, it's nearly time guys! The festive tunes are on loud and proud, the staff christmas party all booked and presents are arriving daily from copious amounts of online shopping (definitely the way forward for the time poor amongst us) and we're generally getting in the spirit of all things Christmas!
Anyway we've just been looking back at our blog from this time last year and checking out what was on our wishlist for Christmas (two of which actually arrived form Santa!) So we thought we'd do another one this year and see if we're just as lucky ;)

Liz - This year I won't be celebrating NYE in the UK, I'm heading for sunnier climes and we'll be down under in Australia (first time ever so super excited)! So despite the cold weather here I need to start thinking about bikini's, sun dresses and sandals! I have always adored Missoni prints and I just love the colours of this playsuit from Rumpus Resort, it's very boho chic. If Santa's feeling extra generous he can treat me to the bikini too!

Georgina - At the moment I'm a lover for all things sparkly and glittery, anything with a high level of shine, I'm like a magpie. Bags, shoes, nail varnish, christrmas decs, you name it I'm on it. So it's not surprising that I've gone for this gorgeous, glittering envelope style clutch form Anya Hindmarch...perfect for a Winter wedding I've got coming up over the holiday period : )

Sophie - Wow, check out Effie! I've always been a fan of all things Mulberry and the new addition to the family is no exception. The colour has my name written all over it, it's just fabulous! I'm also loving the embossed Mulberry tree on the front, it's certainly an eye catcher for all the right reasons. It's about time I updated my arm candy and this would do just nicely!

We went down to London on Wednesday to attend the Drapers Fashion Awards night at the Grosvenor House Hotel. We were nominated for the Best New Business Award, unfortunately we didn't win but we were pleased to have been shortlisted by such a prestigious industry magazine. It was a great night and a chance to celebrate with over 950 of fashions finest retailers and brands all gathered in one place, there were plenty of celeb spots too! The reason behind '3:Eleven'

Some of you may already know the significance of our name 3:Eleven but for those of you who don't this is the story behind it...

Today is the 3rd of the eleventh month which is a very special day to us as it is the birthday of our late mother. A few years ago on Mothers Day we decided to get matching tatoos of this date enscribed on our wrists in memory of our Mum and unknown to us at the time this would later become the name of our boutique!

So today is 3:Eleven's day, she was an inspiration to us both and the reason we took the path that we did and it also seems that we have inherited her love of fashion! We thought we'd share a few images of her modeling her own clothing collection for her finals at Univeristy way back in the summer of 1976, we think she looks stunning... Happy Birthday Mum, hope you're celebrating in style!

Sisters Reem and Natalya Kanj are the creators behind one of our favourite websites, Five Five Fabulous, which is dedicated to providing the latest news on fashion beauty and lifestyle. Reem has not only established a name for herself in London but also in the Middle East, where both her and Natalya are regularly featured in the glossy magazines (see their Grazia features below).

Fashion Fade works American Retro!

Penny from Fashion Fade is rocking her fave tunics from American Retro... both are very different pieces but equally as cool!

Some of you might have spotted the studded eagle tee on Amelia from X Factor at the weekend, but we think Penny's more simplified styling shows the tee off better and lets the studs do the talking!

Penny has styled the American Retro red tunic with bare legs and ChloBo, but for a winter's day pair with black tights and flat boots. This can then easily be transformed into an evening look by layering necklaces and ditching your flats for sky-high heels.

If there was one runway we could attend it would have to be Chanel at Paris Fashion Week. Sadly, we have to settle for viewing it from our not so glamourous computer screens. It was held at the Grand Palais with the most surreal underworld themed set. From Karl to Florence to Freja, from the pearls to Paris everything just looked simply DIVINE.

So there's been a lot of outfit envy going on this past month due to all the fashion weeks taking place..too many pretty people in too many effortlessly styled outfits!

The beautiful Bianca Brandolini D'adda, Italian model and socialite does simple chic perfectly. The colour of her shirt works so well with her skin tone and amazing locks. You can never go wrong with a pair of black jeans, they always go with everything and the cute flats finish off the outfit nicely. LOVE it.

Q&A with Fashion Fade...

We have recently been working with the gorgeous blogger Penelope from Fashion Fade. She popped in store last week for a fun dress up day where she tried out her favourite pieces from the new seasons collections. Photos will be up soon but in the meantime here's a few Q&A's with one cool girl...

How long have you been blogging for and what made you start a blog?I've been blogging since february this year. It began as a bit of a hobby, posting photos of various outfits I'd put together and shoes that I'd bought. I definitely never thought that I would actually get as much of a following as I did! Which was a really nice surprise.

Who are your favourite bloggers? My top 5 blogs at the moment would have to be OracleFox, Purse n boots, vintagevirgin, 5 inch and up, Song of Style.

Describe your style in 3 words...My style in three words would have to be...... messy, bohemian and lazy. (I generally like to throw different things together and hope for the best!)

What are your favourite premium brands? I love stylestalker, American Gold and American Retro, so was so excited to work with these brands when I came to 3Eleven. In terms of shoes, it would have to be Jeffrey Campbell and Sam Edelman.

Where do you shop on the high street? I tend to shop in the same places when it comes to the High Street. I get a lot of stuff from H&m and Topshop because I think they translate current trends the best on the high street and H&M is great for bargains.

Which runway designer inspires you most? After Fashion Weeks, the collections I always check first are alexander wang, Balmain, Balenciaga and Christopher Kane.

Who is your ultimate style crush? I'd have to say Erin Wasson. I love her easy style and the way she puts outfits together so effortlessly. I think it takes a lot of skill to look good whilst also looking like you haven't tried!

Other than fashion, what are the other loves in your life? As well as doing Fashion Design as a job, I also design jewellery which I really love and hope to set up my own brand one day...the only other love in my life (apart from shoes) is my little dog Teddy, who features on my blog every now and then.

We know it's a scorcher this week but we've just had this chunky cable knit delivered from Maison Scotch and it's so scrumptious we thought we had to share it with you! Fast forward to next week when the weather is bound to change its tune we are sure we'll be pleased to have something like this in our wardrobe! You can wear it through the Autumn as a great alternative to a jacket. You can never go wrong with a cable knit cardi especially with this version and its contrast elbow patches which add a nice little touch. Just make sure you keep the layers to a minimum to avoid over heating and a possible michelin man effect ;)

Today I'm sporting this fab photoprint tee from Masion Scotch and have layered it with a cosy mohair mix cardi, also from Maison Scotch. I'm loving this cardi's cute elbow patches and the red check silk lining is a luxurious touch so I've rolled up the cuffs to show it off!

I'm a big Siwy fan and usually wear the Hannah cropped style but going through to Autumn I'll be opting for the Rose which is a longer length style. They are super comfy (which is a must for me!) and the wash is perfect to wear as an everyday jean.

I've finished off my outfit with my fave trainers, a pair of red leather Superga's, which adds a touch more colour to my outfit.

We are so excited as we've found out that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best New Business Award as part of the Drapers Fashion Awards 2011. To have been shortlisted as a finalist in such an established industry event is a huge recognition for us and we are chuffed to bits :)

Roll on the awards event in November, it's going to be a great night for the fashion industry and we can't wait!
